Sustainability achievements and project milestones

08 April 2025

As we enter 2025, we’d like to share achievements across our portfolio and our vision for the year ahead.

This year, as we prepare to welcome our first guests and residents to Australia’s first 1 Hotel & Homes at Seafarers, we’re reminded that the most meaningful projects are worth the wait.

Beginning in 2011, we began a journey to reimagine a forgotten piece of Melbourne’s waterfront, over a decade on we’re excited to share this milestone with you and look forward to welcoming you to experience Seafarers firsthand.

More broadly across our portfolio, New Epping set new standards in sustainable community development. Our commercial spaces at 179 Queen Street showcase the power of innovative tenant engagement, and Hobart’s Max Angus House demonstrates our commitment to workplaces that celebrate cultural significance. Explore the details of each project below.

Thank you for being part of this journey. 2025 promises to be a defining chapter in our story, and we’re excited to share it with you.

Introducing Max Angus House

Introducing Max Angus House

AN ART-INSPIRED WORKPLACE:

Max Angus House is officially unveiled at 116 Bathurst Street Hobart – named after the celebrated Tasmanian artist whose iconic mosaic murals have adorned this building since 1959. Beyond just a name change, we’ve added practical improvements including new end-of-trip facilities, a refreshed lobby, and updated amenities. Our building’s new identity takes inspiration from Angus’s distinctive geometric patterns, creating a thoughtful bridge between history and modern design.

Situated within The Hanging Garden’s dynamic cultural hub, Max Angus House connects forward-thinking businesses with Hobart’s creative community, offering a workspace that honors the past while embracing the future.
