Half-way through 2024, we are celebrating a series of milestones, launches, upgrades, and more, as our projects and impact initiatives come to life.
At New Epping, we recently marked the launch of the New Epping Health Hub, a precinct dedicated to health, healing, and innovation. Seafarers achieved two monumental milestones in May; the topping out of what is considered one of Australia’s most complex structures, and the groundbreaking of Melbourne’s newest riverside park, Seafarers Rest. Meanwhile, in the CBD, upgrades at 179 Queen Street are complete, revitalising the lobby and providing essential collaboration spaces for our tenants. Within our HQ, we dedicated an entire month to giving back, with the Riverlee team volunteering over 100 hours to support various causes across Melbourne.
We look forward to continuing our journey of growth, innovation, and impact for the rest of the year.

Seafarers: from groundbreaking to topping out
Celebrating architectural innovation and green spaces
Seafarers’ structure is complete. Designed by Nonda Katsalidis, the intricate façade, likened to a giant jigsaw puzzle by Project Director Brett Howlett, is one of Australia’s most complex. As you drive along Wurundjeri Way, its bold form enhances Melbourne’s skyline, reflecting the river’s fluidity and industrial heritage.
We also broke ground on Seafarers Rest, Melbourne’s newest 3,500sqm riverside park. Forming part of the City of Melbourne’s Greenline Project to rejuvenate the Birrarung-Yarra River.

Introducing New Epping Health Hub
A landmark in health, healing, and innovation
The New Epping Health Hub is a $1 billion precinct dedicated to health, healing, and innovation. It includes the new Northern Private Hospital and forms a 20-hectare ecosystem of private and public hospitals, allied healthcare, research, and education providers—making it the largest combined health precinct in the north.
In April, we welcomed Thrive Fertility, a Victorian-first facility offering comprehensive fertility care under one roof, bringing affordable services to Melbourne’s north.
We look forward to sharing the evolution of the New Epping Health Hub, delivering premier healthcare to Epping and beyond.

179 Queen St enhanced by tenant feedback
Elevating everyday experiences based on tenants' needs
In collaboration with industry-leading partners, we're redeveloping the ground floor lobby at our 379 Collins Street building. The refurbishment will feature a new entrance and an activated, premium lobby space with café and luxury retail on offer.
The design for the lobby will also include extended height ceilings, a new glass façade that invites more natural light, and communal areas designed to foster connection within our 379 community.
Over 100 hours dedicated to important causes
Supporting meaningful causes in Melbourne
In May, our annual Volunteering Month, led by our Riverlee Impact Committee, offered employees the chance to support meaningful causes in Melbourne. From cleaning the Yarra River with the Yarra River Keepers Association to aiding the homeless via the Salvation Army Magpie Nest Cafe and providing relief supplies with Big Group Hug, our team’s efforts highlight the importance of giving back and integrating sustainability and community initiatives into our projects.
